Mouse - Artist

Mouse is a Bradford-based sculptor whose work explores infinity and consciousness through abstract form. Blending sculpture, painting, and meticulous research, he seeks to give shape to some of the most intangible ideas—asking the question: “Why are we conscious?”

Since 2021, after stepping away from corporate culture, Mouse has dedicated his practice to understanding what makes us human at the most fundamental level. His work reflects the belief that we are all, at our core, the same—a fleeting arrangement of billions of identical particles, bound in an eternal cycle of energy. Out of their 13 billion years of existence, those particles have chosen this infinitesimally small moment to come together, enabling us to be here now. For Mouse, this is both a cause for peace and a reason to celebrate—a sentiment woven into every piece he creates.

“Out of their 13 billion years of existence, those particles have chosen this infinitesimally small moment to come together.”

Working primarily in wood, Mouse also sculpts with stone, clay, resin, and metal, using each medium to explore the infinite connections between matter, energy, and consciousness.

His career has already seen notable milestones, including A Sense of Place with Scarborough Museums, becoming a finalist for the 2024 Emerging Artist Award with Scott’s Creative Arts Foundation, and presenting his first solo exhibition with Scott’s in 2025.

Looking ahead, Mouse intends to elevate his practice to new scales—creating ambitious public artworks for communities around the world to enjoy. He is committed to engaging with and inventing sustainable ways to make art, ensuring his practice respects both people and planet. With deep roots in Bradford, he aims to champion his local area, cultivating a vibrant community that embraces art as a shared experience and source of connection.

Mouse’s work is not only an artistic pursuit but also a philosophical journey—an invitation for others to think deeply about their place in the universe, and to find unity through our shared existence.
